The Covid Wars have made HSA Legends of the Bay signup even more complicated than normal years. Here are some key points:
Entry slots are limited, and this contest gets more popular every season. U10 and Girls 14-15 divisions are not at this event. Open Body Board is already FULL. Division slots have a cap and close when they are full.
Just because you paid online does not guarantee you a spot. Contestants are in based on time of entry (not last seasons cancelled entry) and HSA Maui members first, Maui residents second and third HSA outer island have priority, in that order. If division is full, you will be placed on an alternate list.
If you signed up last season you ARE NOT automatically signed up for this year. No refunds were given for last season Legends. Please sign up now if you want to compete at Honolua.
Most have donated last years Legends entry due to some a rocky road lately financially for HSA Maui. Some have used entry for the contests we have been able to do during Covid. Anything like that needs to be handled via email (john@hsamaui.org) on an individual basis.
AGAIN, YOU MUST ENTER ONLINE FOR THE 2022 HSA LEGENDS OF THE BAY OR EMAIL ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. NOTHING IS AUTOMATIC AND SLOTS ARE LIMMITTED, SPREAD THE WORD.
